View Full Version : Virus not currently detected by Norton Virus not currently detected by Norton Chris 06-25-2002, 11:24 AM If you have it, you know deleting its copies doesn't stop it. To get rid of it, go to My Computer, Windows, System32, and delete explorer32.exe (trust me, its not a windows thing. Just check when it was created). Then delete all of the copies, and viola, no virus (I don't know what registry entries it made, though). kris 06-27-2002, 08:39 AM Originally posted by Chris I got a virus last night, and I ran Norton AntiVirus (fully updated). It opens a command console which takes up a bunch of your cpu, and it creates copies of itself in the folder you activated it from. I got it from Kazaa, it is 19 or so KB, and labelled as an .exe, claiming to be a bunch of different things. If you have it, you know deleting its copies doesn't stop it. Chris 07-01-2002, 07:02 PM It changes its name, usually to a game name or porn. I didn't report(stupid!) but I was pissed off because it was really slowing down my comp.
