Probably a stupid questionPenster 02-16-2006, 03:46 AM I was wondering if it is possible to put a motor from a 86 Mazda 626 into a 83 Toyota Celica. I'm sure it's not so can anyone tell me where to get a rebuilt for the Toyota in or around Portland, Oregon? Thanks. nialusa 02-16-2006, 03:41 PM Yes, you are 100% correct...that is a stupid question. :D Heres one more......Why? blakscorpion21 02-16-2006, 03:44 PM no but some supra engines will. im not suere which ones. Penster 02-17-2006, 01:50 AM Thanks for both comments. for the Why question: I have 3 cars that don't run & I can't afford a new one. I have a 91 Grand Am with a decent interior & no reverse that I don't want to know why it doesn't start. I think its the fuel pump & I don't want to have to go there to fix that. I have an 86 626 that needs a new front 1/4 panel & hood & the sun roof leaks that the tranny is going out on. Its a 5 speed & slips out of gear not to mention the pretty noise it makes! And then I have an 83 Supra that looks pretty good but the interior sucks that needs a new motor. The Gods don't smile on me when I acquire a new vehicle. They just give me more headaches & work to do! nialusa 02-17-2006, 02:18 PM Sell them all for scrap and with the proceeds buy a nice cheap run around that works...sorry I cant be of more help but swapping engines over is a costly and time consuming task that your bank balance wont thank you for.. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
