Hi my Primera P10 has just died on me.. again the near side outer CV joint has collapsed looks like the boot came loose and it dried out so the driveshaft has popped out. Luckily I have a spare as the driveshaft snapped a few months back and we kept the joints from the old shaft. I don't have a Haynes Manual and have very litle knowledge of mechanics could anyone give me the highlights of what I need to do as I have no money to pay anyone to do it and the lack of car is losing me work!

I've had random bits of information thrown at me like I need to remove a ball joint with a splitter and shoudl be able to pull 'it' out then and er.. tie the calliper up out of the way and er.. remove the big centre nut to get it out and to pack the CV joint with grease then I was told this was bad....
Not sure if this applies to all but this has the abs unit thing on.. ooh and my step dad mentioned the possibility of an internal circlip? eh?
