I have a 99 malibu. The original radio is dead completely. I verified the radio fuse is good and have tried a replacement radio. the replacement radio was walmart special named durabrand. it doesnt even power up. anyone know the radio harness color codes from the car side that i might have a wire that is missing or incorrectly located? i cant justify buying a haynes or chilton manual jus tfor this problem.

Just buy an universal adapter.. I bought A new radio for the same reason and just orked fine... but if you don't want, generally red is +12v, orange is accessory, black is ground... others color is for speaker..

(PS: for the antenna I needed an adaptor (GM to universal))

Get the Haynes or Chilton manual anyway. You're gonna need it sooner or later.
