OEM Honda tweeter kit for 96 Civic LXdreville 02-14-2006, 10:35 PM I got this OEM Honda tweeter kit from ebay that supposed to mount easily in 97-00 civic models. I bought it because the seller sent me instructions that said 96-00. The tweeters are installed on the door panel by the door handle and requires drilling some holes in the panel. The kit comes with sub-harnesses that can be connected to the speaker harness and then this sub-harness can be connected to the front factory speaker and the tweeter. I have not removed my door panels yet and checked but does anybody know if this kit will work or not on my 96 Civic LX? Thank you. -dre rushb18 02-15-2006, 07:48 AM No it wont sell it to me for alot less then you paid for it...Rofl just playin.. Im not really sure on this...I was going to look into the stock tweeters for my LX but i think id rather buy aftermarkets mount them on the mirror part and run my wires down to the stock 6 1/2 and tap into them..Seems better to me cause im sure those stock OEM"s wont hold up for the longest time and wont sound as good as any aftermarkets.. dreville 02-15-2006, 01:48 PM Yes you made a good point. If ever these OEM ones die..I might be stuck with holes in my door panel. I dunno how I'd install tweeters though on my mirror part cuz I got ghetto manual mirrors. Do I move the tweeter around to adjust my mirror? haha. -dre rushb18 02-15-2006, 09:11 PM damn you got basically a base model LX with manual mirrors that sucks.. Hmm im not really sure what to tell you unless you buy a set of aftermarket non ricer stock looking mirrors that you adjust the glass by your hand and it takes that lil manual adjuster thing off the inside... Then you mount them there...If you understand what im saying sounds kind of messed up lol...later vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
