Took my '95 1.9 Escort in for alignment and tech said inner tie rod needed replacement before he could align it. Can't find anything about inner tie rod in the manuals. I replaced one on a Honda Civic but this one looks really hard to get to where it screws into the steering box. Should I try taking the whole steering box out? There doesn't seem to be any play in the steering although it does pull to the right most of the time and there was some grease on the boot.
Has anyone ever replaced an inner tie rod? Appreciate any help.
