Help! I have a 1989 Toyota Camry and the automatic shoulder seat belt will not work on the drivers side but works just fine on the passengers side.
Is there a fuse or a relay that I am missing? :screwy: The shoulder belt will go forward but then it just stops and wont go back.

You're probably having the same problem I had. There's a loose wire right behind the driver's head between the windows. I basically just pulled back the plastic (nothing broke) and jiggled some wires. I think it stopped working one other time after that and i just hit the mechanism to make it work again. If that sounds untechnical, its because it is and you might want to actually fix the wiring i guess.

i don't want to put up a new post, but i've been leaking oil out of mine for the past 2 weeks (quart a week if not more!). I'm going to the mechanic this week if i can't find out a way to fix it myself (i tried the additive stuff that helps the o-rings and seals and that only made it worse).

thx!

Had the same problem on my 89 camry. Along with that the windows quit working, door locks quit. to start check Car must be running. First check the switch half way down on the door jam for continuity. if okay, check the harness between the door and the body, my harness had 10 wires that were broke or nearly broke. Tough to get out but not impossible. I found that the seat belts both are on the same circuit breaker.
