Greetings! I'm hoping someone's run into this before and can give me a heads up on which direction to go in. 93' escort 1.9 w/5sp. Replaced trans, clutch, MC about 3k mi. ago. Now it's started dripping trans fluid out from the speedometer and onto my shoes while driving. My question is, is it the speedo cable, speedo gear assy, or is there a vent that's plugged or something, just overfilled maybe? Speedo works, but seems to fluctuate a bit at highway speed. Never run into this before. Thanks in advance,

It happend to me after a clutch change. I over filled the tranny fluid.

Ditto... everfill is the only thing that makes sense to me... strange that it could make its way up the cable though... I'd think it would spill out on the tranny end.
