Could anyone possibly post a picture of the ignition module we were discussing a few days ago? I think the module on my 97 Blazer is bad and I bought a replacement at Auto Zone but it doesn't look like what is described in the "how-to" that was posted here. It just looks like a flat black module with a metal plate on one side, two screw holes, and the male end of an electrical connection. Have I got the right thing? The how-to described new wiring harnesses. Thanks for any help.

Thanks rlith. I guess Auto Zone fell down on that one. Did I read earlier that you can get this part at the usual parts stores or is it a dealer only thiing?

Correct number listed by Jeremy. You want the Ignition "Switch" module that rlith posted a picture of.

The parts store did the same gave me the flat black thing. Thats the wrong part that goes on the disributor. You need the part in the pic. The how too is awesome I just did my not too long ago and its was bamg on. Just make sure you get the e4 torx bit i had a bit of trouble finding it. Make sure the airbag is disconected like to how too says. It would be a BAD NEWS day if that sucker went off. Good luck
