School Project Beetle '69GvEman 02-09-2006, 05:59 PM Hi every one! I am a regular at this forum but at the car modelling section, and I thought I should show of my latest project in 1:1. A '69 beetle. For many years ago it was stored in a barn by a friend’s dad, due to lack of inspiration. And now almost 20 years later it’s being restored as a school project by me and my friend. Every thing done to it has been done in our garage by our own hands, even the paint job. So what do you guys think? http://baxis.se/sidor/bilder/Ref/vw1.gif http://baxis.se/sidor/bilder/Ref/vw6.gif http://baxis.se/sidor/bilder/Ref/vw5.gif http://baxis.se/sidor/bilder/Ref/vw.jpg http://baxis.se/sidor/bilder/Ref/vw9.gif http://baxis.se/sidor/bilder/Ref/vw2.jpg http://baxis.se/sidor/bilder/Ref/vw3.jpg http://baxis.se/sidor/bilder/Ref/vw7.gif http://baxis.se/sidor/bilder/Ref/vw8.gif http://baxis.se/sidor/bilder/Ref/vw4.jpg Allot of work ahead of us... but remember this is made in 200 ours ;) BoatCop 02-09-2006, 09:28 PM Very nice. I renovated my '69 myself, too. (Everything except the paint) and had a blast doing it. (www.boatcop.com/project.htm (http://www.boatcop.com/project.htm)) Keep us up to date on the progress, and if you have any questions or need some tips, maybe we can help. Be careful using the term "restore". Purists reserve that word for putting the car back to original condition. Using only NOS German parts or good used parts for that year and making it exactly the way that it came out of the factory. GvEman 02-10-2006, 01:44 AM ... Be careful using the term "restore". Hahaha! Ye then I should not be using that word.. The engine for example is a '66 with 69 carburettor and generator, and al the sealing is cheap new ones. And nothing has the same colour as it should have had back then. Thanks Rick's69 02-10-2006, 03:52 PM The car looks incredible and the rims are awesome too. rodamotors 01-21-2008, 02:49 AM I Canīt See The Pics. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
