1994 Ranger with Accelerator pedal problemmwalock 02-08-2006, 12:58 PM I have a 1994 with the 3.0 L V6 and a standard transmission. However, it recently developed a problem. When I press down on the gas pedal, the engine revves up, but will not rev down. I have looked, and the accelerator cable is in good shape. It appears to be a problem with the pedal. There is no tension in the cable to lower the throttle when the pedal is released. Does anyone know how to fix this and what parts I need? thanks juliuszx6 02-08-2006, 08:19 PM I have a 1994 with the 3.0 L V6 and a standard transmission. However, it recently developed a problem. Crasen 02-08-2006, 09:28 PM I would snap the throttle using my hand, and watch it to make sure the throttle returns, strong, I would sespect return springs or cable. And the obvious, make sure you do not have floor mats that get in the ga pedals way vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
