I have a turn signal/ wiper lever on the left side of the column, which is still inside the column, but hangs low and is loose. is there any way to re-tighten this thing?, instead of $200 + for a new one. Sometimes i put in the up position for the right turn signal and the wipers come on. frustrating!!! please help

Is there a plastic cover around it you might be able to pry off? I believe there are two brass screws holding that lever, you'd have to see if the plastic around them is broken.
