I just bought this car and I have ordered the factory service manuals (I don't care for the Hayes comic books). Anyway, the car didn't come with a battery, and the security codes for the radio are nowhere to be found.

I know what I need to do to get the security codes from the dealer. What I don't know is how to remove the console cover over the radio. Does anyone know if this thing just "snaps" out? From the bottom??? Any help would be appreciated.

You may not need to remove the radio. I removed the "button" between the buttons for the fog lights and window defroster that are below the radio. Once removed, you can read the S/N from the bottom of the radio with a flashlight.

You can also try opening the glove box and looking on the side of the opened box for a strip of paper that has the code on it, if it hasn't come off or been removed.

sometimes can be found on the underside of the underhood fusebox, or on one of the trunk hinges.
