Headlamp Socket Burning out.

The driver's side low beam socket is burning out again.I had the problem and I changed the socket about three weeks ago and it is happening again.The thing is hot to the touch.It is burning out on one polarity,I cannot remember which one.Does anyone have any suggestion?98 XLS

what type of bulbs are you using? Aftermarket? OEM?

I now have aftermarket bulb on the car.I did not know that the socket was bad and I changed the bulb and found out that the bulb was not the problem.I do not know if the bulb that I removed was aftermarket or oem,I bought the car with it.
