I admit that the P11GT brakes aren't the best I've had, but I've never experienced any brake fade (which would indicate hot disks). I think the servo is a little on the weak side, but the car still stops when required. LeeW 06-24-2002, 10:05 AM My car's nearly 4 years old and the warranty's up, so I'm replacing all worn parts with uprated items. Hopefully to improve the car. eeyore 06-26-2002, 04:21 AM Have you tried EBC? They normally supply upraded items for most cars - including around four different types of brake pad for sports use. www.ebcbrakes.com check with your local motor factor - they may be able to supply (I think Cafco deals with these guys also). If you are going on the replacement path, may I recommend replacing the flexible brake hoses? They tend to rot over time and become limp. When they do, they start flexing instead of the brake caliper! If you want upgraded items, you can get them with a mesh/coil jacket, which improves braking no end - it removes all the flexing from the pipe, which probably accounts for about 10% loss in brake performance. What else are you planning to replace?? I've just passed the 80k mark and things are now coming up for first replacement on mine. In theory, I should take the car off the road for a week or two and get it overhauled before things start to break mid-flow. LeeW 06-26-2002, 10:25 AM Not replacing too much! I've just had the windows and rear lights tinted, 4 new tyres, alloys referbished, rear brakes discs and pads and my mate has just repaired and resprayed a scape along the sill. I'm onto front discs and pads now. I've got clear side repeaters and clear indicator bulbs to go on and may get a s.s. exhaust and filter.
