Chery A5 (Visionary midsize sedan) - this one appears to have US-spec side markers... http://www.mychery.net/forum/html/ut/attach/2006/01/10/5454562-PICT0292_-embed.JPG http://autopic.sohu.com/auto_images/piclib/75/34/Img1113475.jpg http://autopic.sohu.com/auto_images/piclib/76/34/Img1113476.jpg http://autopic.sohu.com/auto_images/piclib/53/34/Img1113453.jpg It's powered by Chery's own, austrian engineered 4-cylinder. The next one is just outstanding, the Chery V3 (Visionary calls it the crossover): http://www.pcauto.com.cn/news/nation/brand/chery/0601/pic/b14_031_thumb.jpg http://www.pcauto.com.cn/news/nation/brand/chery/0601/pic/b14_001_thumb.jpg http://www.pcauto.com.cn/news/nation/brand/chery/0601/pic/b14_008_thumb.jpg http://www.pcauto.com.cn/news/nation/brand/chery/0601/pic/b14_032_thumb.jpg http://www.pcauto.com.cn/news/nation/brand/chery/0601/pic/b14_039_thumb.jpg There's even a common rail diesel version, the V3 25D: http://www.mychery.net/forum/html/ut/attach/2006/01/10/5454000-PICT0235_-embed.JPG The A5 sedan looks like a blend of Korean and Japanese designs, but the crossover looks pretty nice and unique. Neverteheless, Bricklin is trying to position his chinese imports as luxury cars, competing with BMW and Audi... Basically he's still a childish dreamer... And of course, I'm newbie here, so hi to all of you! S. Loeb blkmonday 02-04-2006, 12:48 AM those cars are ugly....turn the boat around we dont want another yugo or dawoe...BUY AMERICAN!!! karnovking 03-26-2006, 12:11 PM the sedan sucks, I wouldn't want it, but the wagon looks decent. I still wouldn't buy one though. alfonso2501 04-07-2006, 09:48 AM Japan makes the best cars on this planet, they over took American car makers in terms of quality & value years ago. I can’t help but feel that in about 10 years we’ll be saying the same about Chinese cars. blkmonday 07-08-2006, 10:51 PM i call those birth control cars...because if you drive one....chances are you have no chance of reproduction. Garfield2 07-22-2006, 11:27 PM I think they're kind of cute. At the winery today there were 4 Bricklin gull wing cars, each a different color. I took pictures of them. Kind of look like a painted Delorean. These are the ones that were made in Canada. I could see places on the top of the door where it met the car top that looked like gaps and some buckling. These 90 lb doors had some engineering problems. jesesfbi 07-29-2006, 02:43 PM i didnt know the chinese can make cars. the chinese should stick to what ever they make Garfield2 07-29-2006, 09:47 PM i didnt know the chinese can make cars. the chinese should stick to what ever they make You're kidding right? The Chinese make just about eveything we have here in America. Think I'm wrong? look at the calculator you have, whrere was it made? How about going to Wal-Mart and checking out some automotive or hardware stuff...made in China. I even went to a True-Value hardware store and got some of their "Master Plumber" series sink stuff.. "made in China". They don't make 'everything' but they sure make a large percentage of stuff we buy!:shakehead Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com!
