Do Rav 4's come with manual transmission? If so, what year model and are there any dealers in the NYC area that carry this model?

Well, I can say that in 1997 they did, 'cos I have one. It's not the easiest to drive smoothly, especially the 1st to 2nd shift (and I've driven stick shift all my life, starting in the UK), and any eventual clutch replacement will be expensive, but with the original low powered engine I think it probably adds a lot to the fun to drive quotient. And with the locking center diff, I've never been stuck anywhere. I thought I read somewhere that the new model only comes with automatic, though. I'm sure you can look it up on the Toyota web site, or the Blue Book or somewhere.

They ALL come on stick. Not sure about the 06 model though. My mom drives a 03 auto and its got a pretty smooth torque curve, and a LOT less body roll than I expected.
