Hi,
I am planning on spending time and effort on putting a coat of Underbody Rubber (3M stuff) under my truck. I wanted to get your feel for it and opinion before doing actually going with it. :uhoh:

I also, wanted to install a bed liner. I really want to get the plastic stuff but I know that there are many issues with it in regards to rust buildup underneath which can occur. I also don’t want to put just the spray on bed liner because as the dents happen it will actually bend the sheet metal of the bed. So, I wanted to put a layer or two of spray on bed liner and then put the plastic liner on top. What do you think? :smokin:

Thanks!

What is the general purpose of the truck? I have a few alternate routes.

A) If you take your truck offroad alot, the 3M coating under it would hold up alright, but if you dont really have a small budget, then i'd go with line-x or rhino lining under and in the bed if you wanna go heavy duty with it.

B) General daily driver, Don't waste your money on coats of 3M or line-x, Powder coat the underbody and line-x the bed.

C) This concerning the bedliner. Dont worry about dents or anything in the bed. One coat of line-x or rhino, and you wont have any dents that stuff is tough. My dad had a toyota pickup and he had line-x and he would always throw stuff back there. Wood, Rocks, cement blocks, tools..etc etc. And never had dents.
