1992 lasabre stuck in park

hi, trying to fix 1992 lasabre that gear selector is stuck in park. pressing brake pedal is supposed to release devise holding locking it in place but not working. can't find wiring diagram (have haynes repair manual) to find which relay controls this circuit. any help? thanks

I have no idea. But does anybody know if there is a switch that gets engaged on the brake pedal that can be adjusted so it engages and allows the car to get out of park?

I know on my '87 it's all mechanical. I have no idea if later models end up using an electronic circuit to lock it. It wouldn't make much sense to me - but that's GM for you.

Stupid question, but sometimes they're the best - steering wheel locked or no?
