'99 Suburban Transfer case module & dashgillyIR 02-01-2006, 03:00 PM :banghead: I am losing power to radio, CD player, clock and 2-4WD switch (fuse is OK). Then a 50 Amp fuse under the hood blows. Unplug the transfer case module and the fuse doesn't blow. Any ideas what could be the problem? Also, does the radio & clock have anything to do with the TCM? Sue Identify the 50a fuse that's blowing. Also is your Sub an "old" or "new" body style and what engine and is it a K1500 or K2500 and does it have "Auto 4WD" or not? Lots of ?'s, but need the info to be able to try and help you....Steve gillyIR 02-02-2006, 10:13 AM Steve, thank you for your reply. My Sub is old body style, K1500, Auto 4WD, and I think the engine is a 350. The 50a fuse that keeps blowing is "Battery Fuse Block Busbar". Sue 777stickman 02-02-2006, 05:56 PM Steve, thank you for your reply. My Sub is old body style, K1500, Auto 4WD, and I think the engine is a 350. The 50a fuse that keeps blowing is "Battery Fuse Block Busbar". Sue Hi Sue: My Sub is an old body style K2500 w/ Auto 4wd also. So looking at the wiring diagram in the manual, it shows the 50a Battery fuse powering 3 wires to the instrument panel fuse block. One wire goes to the fuse 1 (STOP-HAZ). Another goes to Fuse 2 (T CASE). The 3rd goes to a PWR ACCY circuit breaker which I don't have a clue what that is. So, I'm going to say that the wiring going from the underhood to the instrument panel fuse block is shorted somewhere. Since the fuse blows when the TCM is hooked up, it's probably the wire going to the T CASE fuse 2. All of the wires are 10 gauge red. Hope this helps..........Steve vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
