TatII 02-01-2006, 10:04 AM wow on video you have a very very similar voice to me, its kinda scary. that problem sounds like an ignition miss to me. its very very similar to my problem that i had, and it would just read lean and miss hard like its tryin to stall. nissan_240sx 02-01-2006, 10:12 AM nice vid driftking777 02-01-2006, 01:03 PM I am you TatII...lol...well when the problem is happening, it goes rich, and when i let off right afterwards it goes real lean... TatII 02-01-2006, 03:42 PM hmmm yours goes rich? what kind of fuel management are you using? driftking777 02-01-2006, 03:55 PM SAFCII and ecu from JWT i really wish there was any KA-T guys in south dakota...lol. I think im the only KA-T 240sx in all of south dakota...its sad TatII 02-01-2006, 04:02 PM it happens only at 3K rpm? why don't you check your safc settings? look at your ne1 and ne2. if your ne2 is set close to 3K rpm, then check your dec air settings. it sounds like a decel air problem to me. or play around with the in/ out settings. me, nissanfanatic, and structure240 all run 6 in and 6 out on our safc. driftking777 02-01-2006, 06:03 PM yea i'll check my settings, im guessing there probably around what structure has, becuase structure and holyshiznit (the guy i bought the car from) are friends TatII 02-01-2006, 07:29 PM yeah another to try to do is to deactivate the decel air on the SAFC and see if the problem goes away. HoosierDrifter 02-01-2006, 08:18 PM hahah....schweet 1viadrft 02-01-2006, 11:24 PM Sweet Vids... I couldn't help but notice your 1990 Z32 steering wheel... 240SXSlideStar 02-02-2006, 12:12 PM Sweet Vids... I couldn't help but notice your 1990 Z32 steering wheel... Does that mean that the 1990 Z32 wheel is the exact same one as the 91-94 S13 wheel? driftking777 02-02-2006, 12:14 PM i guess, becuase its the stock steering wheel from a s13 with cruise 1viadrft 02-02-2006, 12:39 PM Hmmm. didn't know that... Looks exactly the same! sidewayzS13 02-02-2006, 01:44 PM haha driftking777 02-02-2006, 05:04 PM BTW...Im giving you guys a bonus video tomorrow...im going out tonite to make a night accel run...so i can show off all the gauges, and i have my drag Radials on...i did one run with them on...and traction is nice...still alittle slippage...but not ANYWHERE near as bad...should make the car seem alittle faster. driftking777 02-02-2006, 06:10 PM BTW...i also just ordered my Apexi gt spec about an hour ago :D yippie Hit_N_Run-player 02-02-2006, 06:25 PM i bought a 240sx becuase its one of the only affordable, badass RWD japanese car, and it has lots of aftermarket. The only other cars i can that would fall in this category are the AE86 (hard to find a decent one), the FC/FD (i cant afford an FD, insurance is too high, and i dont like rotary), and the MkIII/IV supra (insurance up the ass, cant afford one). I cant really thing of any other cars that i would be able to put into a RWD/affordable/japanese tuner car category (back when there was OG tuning, not just tuner cars being neons and a tip). And driftking, i love the car. Cant wait to see a vid with traction! sidewayzS13 02-02-2006, 06:41 PM fuck that i still love getting sideways no need for drag radials here. lets u drift this beast some fuck these straight line runs driftking777 02-02-2006, 07:20 PM fuck that i still love getting sideways no need for drag radials here. lets u drift this beast some fuck these straight line runs dont worry! im going to a drift even on 5-13. Will be plenty of KA-T drifting ;) but i still respect this things straight line powa...and btw sideways...i might have some D-vids before the D-event...we'll see sidewayzS13 02-02-2006, 08:45 PM but in reality there arent many people w/ 400hp on stock diff and suspension and those what are doing that normally have plans in the very near future to upgrade both wheels, suspension and diff 240SXSlideStar 02-02-2006, 10:55 PM You don't need to spend 450 a wheel and 2500$ on coilovers to have a car that can take corners. I'm ganna spend around 2500 CDN for rims, tires and coilovers. driftking777 02-02-2006, 11:42 PM urps...$850 for 17x9 +20 shipped to your door for all corners, then add around $600-800 for tires, and about $1200 for some cheap (but very nice) KTS coils...and your in like flint... one thing im liking about my new car so far in the handling department, is that my old 240 would understeer like a mofo...just slidding straight while trying to turn. Not the new car...it feels nice and solid through turns...i likey! driftking777 02-02-2006, 11:53 PM damn and I thought most people bought 240sx's cause they didn't want to race straight lines, in the end when they are finished with it they don't even have traction going straight in 3rd gear, a real canyon carver u built there buddies, followed by a for sale sign on their prized pocession cause its a pos. Just because a car has X amount of power, doesnt mean you have to be 100% throttle all the time. If my car was running 100% right now i could regulate the gas a bit better, and then BAM, traction. Sorry to say this, but a car with the same power/weight ratio, would have the same problem (IE. a camaro/firebird would need 535whp/tq to be this fast) but again you can make anything a canyon carver, and just becuase it has power means it cant handle? take a look again...Bugatti veyron? 1001whp, handles great. Just because something at 100% throttle doesnt have traction doesnt mean anything. And no, im not just a straight line driver...that just happens to be the only damn thing i can do around here legally. so i do it. if there was a drift track anywhere near here, i would be doing it instead, and i would have posted "hey check my new car drifting thread" but unfortantly, i live on straight roads...so guess what...i do it as fast as possible...traction or not) BTW...im especially not going to have traction in the winter...cold tires, and dusty roads = no traction...go figure...what a math problem. Anywho...not really trying to be an ass, but this is an all around car, and just becuase its fast, doesnt mean it cant do other things well. Importboom 02-03-2006, 12:14 AM dude, are you seriously putting down 373hp, all i can say is, damn. sounds cash money. -boom 240SXSlideStar 02-03-2006, 12:25 AM dude, are you seriously putting down 373hp, all i can say is, damn. sounds cash money. -boom There's alot of people putting down more. And even tho for me, the FNs, KTS coils and tires would end up costing me like 4500$CDN. lol driftking777 02-03-2006, 12:28 AM There's alot of people putting down more. And even tho for me, the FNs, KTS coils and tires would end up costing me like 4500$CDN. lol damn!!! 4500...but then again its CDN...damn conversions! and my car is probably putting down closer to 420whp @24psi on race gas right now...i just have 373whp in my sig, becuase it hasnt been dyno'd to prove it. 240SXSlideStar 02-03-2006, 12:30 AM Well it's not just the conversion, it's duty taxes, shipping, and tires here are expensive for some reason, lol.
