I have a 92 civic cx with the d15b8 motor. i want to put a d16z6 motor in. i think every thing should be the hsame but the vtec and the ecu. does anyone know if the wiring is all the same? shold it just be pull the old d15 out and bolt the d16 right back in its place. im planning on keeping the same tranny also. help please

Just wire the vtec from the engine to the correct pins on the shocktower mount harness clip ('92 Civics are prewired from that clip to the ECU, but not on the engine side), and convert to a 4-wire O2 sensor (from the 1-wire). But the CX transmission sucks. It helps with fuel economy, but is horrible for acceleration.

Agreed. I swear to god they have the longest gears in existance.
