Voltage Regulatorkeithdunn420 01-29-2006, 04:17 PM I'm having trouble polarizing the voltage regulator on a 69' VW Bug. Can anybody help? Thanks BoatCop 01-29-2006, 05:11 PM Standard Generator or Alternator conversion? keithdunn420 01-29-2006, 09:40 PM It has a Standard Generator in it. BoatCop 01-29-2006, 10:20 PM The voltage regulator doesn't need to be polarized. They aren't polarity sensitive. What trouble are you having? Not charging? Over charging? keithdunn420 01-30-2006, 05:23 PM my genarator light is on,and battery will not hold charge .one time before this happened after i replaced the genarator .called my local vw parts place and a guy walked me through how to pollarize it,and it was done at the voltage regulator,so i guess i need to know how to polarize the genarator does anybody know how? Here's the instructions on how to check the generator and polarize, if needed: http://www.nls.net/mp/volks/htm/gen.htm Good Luck. Let us know how it turns out. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
