I have a 97 SOHC and I am going to put a DOHC in it. What other parts if any besides the motor do I need for this swap?

Computer for one

You will need the wiring harnesses for the fuel injection/ignition and the computer.
You may be able to use the SOHC computer but the tuning might be off some and the rev limiter would be too low.
If you have a ATX then I would not recommend the change, MTX should be fine, although since the DOHC doesn't put out as much low RPM torque, it may feel more sluggish in high gear while cruising.

What all motors will fit in a 1st gen neon?????All neon engines including the SRT-4 and 2.4L engines from a stratus or PT cruiser will fit with modifications. These are the reasonable swaps for the 1st gen neon, but with enough time and money you can make most engines fit, but the cost will be outrageous!

The computer.The used one might start it up if you are lucky.If it does not start with the used 2.4 computer,you will have to get a reman from Chrysler and it has to be progamed.Only way to program the reman chrysler computer is use Chrysler's factory, scan tool DRB III or a Vetronix scan tool,Master tech.

There is no need for all that other stuff.
