are they the same??? I am rebuilding my car after hydrolock and I'm using a SOHC block and a DOHC crankshaft. I'm concerned about the position sensor. are the grooves the same? I can't compare them because the block and the crankshaft are at the machine-shop getting bored and polished because I'm going to go 20 over and 12.5:1 with GE pistons and eagle rods. I'm also including an aluminum flywheel, an underdrive ballancer, and new stage 3 clutch. My top end was already good to go with all the good racing goodies.

Personally I would check with the parts man at my Chrysler(Dodge Plymouth) dealer and see if the part number is the same for both. Also cross reference the part number for the different years if applicable. If they look te same and still have different part numbers, I would try to find out the difference.
