okay so my buddy has an 1986 toyota pickup 4x4 with 285k on it when the number 4 rod bearing spun. pulled the engine to see if we could repace the bearing but to no luck it tore the crank all real bad bought another crack when we got to to looking the rod caps had to bearings in them where someone had reworked the crank and rods before so right now we are looking at a total motor rebuild but i was wondering how many miles others have on there trucks

My 89 King Cab 4x4 has 205K (that I know of)

91 3.0L has 193,XXX without a leak and not burning any oil

82 toy 22r has 290k and runs like a champ.

86 22R(carburated), only 170K :lol: But some bad miles in mud and rocks:naughty:

1990 king cab , 22r-e, auto,.......456k. Yep.

89 yota 4x4 5 speed 290,000 no major engine problems but lots of trans problems

1993 extracab, 4x4, 3.0L, 206K runs great, no problems

83 4x4, 368xxx, still going strong on original engine

69,500 original miles on my 1987 w/22R (carb). Kept in the sun & weather for 19 years. Some rust. My favorite vehicle.

1986 SR5 pickup 22RE 5-speed 4x2, 283,xxx miles, original engine/trans, no rebuild so far.

might as well add....just got a 94 Land Cruiser with 192,6XX miles and runs like a champ

225k on my 90 xtra cab.
I change the oil once a year...

88 22r carb 4 speed with 120k, everything is great except the suspension and the clutch leaks, fixing that today

It now has 156K on it. I have put 2006 Mustang Cobra rims on it and it looks sweet and runs perfect. All the vitals of the motor are ok (compression,.etc...), so I look forward to many more miles of fun. I have also built a homemade header and exhaust system and have run 10.01 in the 1/8 mile. My wife calls it "the little truck that could".

1994 DLX XtraCab 4x4 3.0 V6 5 spd: 201,000 miles on original engine, no major maintenance (HG recall @ 92k miles, Timing belt @ 156k miles, Water pump @ 198k miles). Bone stock original. Uses @ 1 qt of oil every 5k miles, Castrol Syntec 20w-50. I get @ 18 mpg overall.

I HEARD there's a pickup on the Baltimore area with over 1 million (!) miles on it...

I've got 326,xxxk on my 86 Toyota did the head gasket on my 22R other than that it's been solid as a rock. The box and frame are full of holes but it won't stop.

WEll my lil Red truck 86' 4x4 has just now 194 1/2 k, I've seen my way thru 2 countries and 9 states 4 wheeling and a couple cross country trips. Miles are low even though she's been around the states...Now it's engine, trnny rebuild and then comes the suspension and paint to give her new life...ENJOY UR TOYS....:)

well i have a yota tercel 92 1.5 cylender and it has 199,000 on it. runs strong.

My 86 pickup with a 22R has 330,000. All I had to do was the head gasket.
Rebuild it, please. Have the block and head checked properly and go for it. They will go a million miles if maintained properly.
