I remember awhile back there was a guy here who was converting a Fujimi DC5 Integra into a World Challenge RSX. After some progress he seemed to disappear though.

You can always modify from the Accord wagon to make the TSX. Intense amount of work would be needed, but I think it's worth it! :D

No kits of the TSX, Mazda6.

Fujimi's Accord wagon has a lot of what you need, and I looked at the instructions on Hobby Search and it sure looks like they designed the kit to possibly be made as a sedan at a later date. The way the interior and rear cargo area are designed in the kit makes me think they will do a sedan at some point (like they did w/the Subaru Legacy kits).

Otherwise get your scratchbuilding skills and decal art creation up to snuff! Cool project. The Revell plastic full-detail '05/'06 RSX kit will be out in the next month or so. We think..:shakehead :icon16:

That Accord Wagon will be the good starter. The wagon's wheelbase is longer, so you have to shorten the chassis or move the suspension parts forward by approximately 2.3mm.

I'm planning to convert the wagon into the sedan in the future - no telling when though. I have to get the kit in the mail, first anyhow (Ahem! Frank...). I'm not building it as a World Challenge, though, just another Honda for me.

i can envision a lot of this but where would i acquire the rear window?

hmm maybe think plexi glass, since the glass is replaced with lexan?

and this accord is backordered, is that fairly common?

Vacuum form clear styrene, clear PVC, or clear lexan.

Most stuff is usually backordered or out of stock on HLJ. Probably 80% or more at the least. You can order it but be prepared to wait about a month or so.

I wouldn't even vacuuform. Mike, you make everything too complicated. For this application, you could just build the C pillars and trunk, notch them, and epoxy in some plastic, bending it to shape. Rear windows are rarely compound curves on production cars, and even if they are, the curvature is usually so slight in one or another dimension, that you can get away with not rendering all the curves into the glass.

Alternatively, and probably what I will do, you could steal the rear glass from another kit, like an EVO or something.
