Are Turbo Timers actually useful? oooggss 06-17-2002, 11:48 PM Spec2 Girl 06-17-2002, 11:51 PM It will be fine as long as you give it some time to cool down. It all depends on how hard you’ve driven it too. The harder you drive it, the longer you need to give it. I had a turbo timer installed for pure convenience so that I can turn off the engine as soon as I get to where I’m going. My husband doesn’t have one, he just times it for about 30 seconds to a minute and then turns the engine off. It all depends on whether you want to spend the extra money for convenience or not. oooggss 06-18-2002, 12:33 AM how did u install ur turbo timer? Spec2 Girl 06-18-2002, 12:38 AM Originally posted by oooggss how did u install ur turbo timer? Mine was installed at the place that I bought it and then hooked up to my alarm. I’ve found it well worth the money as I am a bit impatient when it comes to waiting :p , so being able to turn my car off as soon as I arrive is great. oooggss 06-18-2002, 12:49 AM Hey thanx for all ur help....and one more question...how much did it cost to install? =P Spec2 Girl 06-18-2002, 12:52 AM Originally posted by oooggss Hey thanx for all ur help....and one more question...how much did it cost to install? =P Installation was free. Part of the service that the place I bought it from offered. I don't think they take very long to install though. Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com!
