I have a simple way to make a nice airscoop so i think i will share with you guys.

take a piece of styrene sheet and draw the shape as in mine

next cut them out... make sure u bend the end on the bigger part down a bit and the two smaller pieces bend them a little to the inside.

after thAT glue the parts together and make sure you glued the sides under the bigger piece. or the smaller pieces at the side of the bigger part

get some putty. i am using poly putty and fill them

wait for them to dry and then sand them smooth and sprayed primer and the desire color.
you are done !!!!

Here are some photos. The airscoop is universal. Adjust the size to fix to your car.

um....is that to catch air and slow down car? :shakehead
i think it would be better if you threw some masking tape on it, preferably red tape to match the putty ;) :screwy:

LOL
freakmech,it's a rough idea on how it is to be build. i also find it too high.....maybe i can cut it lowered :icon16"

huh? what do you mean by masking tape to match the putty? :screwy:

you should do that then! basically what im getting at is... maybe you should refine your modelling skills before giving others suggestions on how to do things. there are plenty of post on this forum on this subject.

Just stop posting in his threads Chad. Leave Cham alone. He is doing what he wants. Ignore him and maybe he will go away.

Cham: Don't listen to Chad. He's just grumpy anymore.

OH NOESSS!!!!! Red putty! Run!!!!

Decent tutorial, Cham, maybe next time show a finished product along with the rough mock-ups, so people can really see what you are showing us.

I like that you have put up a "how to", but I think it would have been accepted abit better if you would have completed it (by sanding, primering, etc. etc.). Then I dont think you would have gotten some of the unwanted replys you did....

with you 100% here.
blind leading the blind?

without actually finishing the thing and only posting what you have, what is there to see and learn?
how to cut three pieces of styrene (too thick in my opinion) and stick them together badly?
how about how you measured for the fitting?
bond the scoop inside the body/hole or bond on the outside?
how about how to even measure the 'correct' size of scoop in the first place?
sometimes, the whys are more important than the hows.
