Here's one of my first road course experiences. I'd done auto-x before this, but not road course. It's nothin special, but it's proof that I do drive my car the way it should be. ;)

This video was my first time ever on the track with the new gears installed. To give you an idea of the difference, the other S2000 was totally stock. I had a 2.5 60' time and he had a 2.1 60' time. He outlaunched the sh*t out of me, and his trash talking friends saying "tom's got him" were surprised when I ended up winning. :)

This next one was the same night, but against a GTO. The GTO ran a 14.4. The track was actually pretty crappy that night, and everyone seemed to be running slow, so I don't feel bad that I only had a 13.8 that night. (even though my 60' times were around 2.2-2.3!)

You've been shit talking this whole time and you drive an s2000? Wtf?!?! Even if an s2000 pulled up next to me and beat me I would still be laughing at the fact I lost to a fuckin honda. well this isnt nessasarily giving a gods attitude about honda but it also seems to me that somebody dosen't like skittles for some reason or another.......

I'm sure many of you know I can't stand those f*cking pieces of sh*t. I think my reason for that is two-fold. First, it contributes to the 1/4 mile mentality this country has. Particularly because this car can be afforded by young, wet behind the ears, immature teenagers. And considering, compared to cars in its class, the car can't handle for crap on a road course or auto-x, it's real purpose is straightline speed. Cheap and easy. Kind of like a 2 dollar whore.

My second reason is the fact that just about everyone I've come across that owns one, seems to think it's God's gift to young, wet behind the ears, immature teenagers. These are the kids who have seen way too much fast and furious, never mind the fact that even TFNTF said the neon was too crappy to put in their movie.

Anyways, I'm getting off track, and I could probably write forever on the faults and crappyness of that car, but let's get onto the ownage.

I cant speak for mr. endless but as for myself......I actually like the s2000 and probably one of the only honda's that I would actually buy......if I was to ever buy a honda that is.........but saying the s2000 is better than our cars in every way but the price and straight line is a little far fetched in my opinion.......I know its just your opinion but you really cant compare the two..........its apples to grapes........

13.3 actually. The 2nd time I ran I ran 13.6 13.5 13.5 and then a 13.3 and then I couldn't run anymore, because a convertible needs a roll cage at our track if you run 13.49 or less. I just posted the most recent stuff i actually have on my computer. :) I'm also not the only one on s2ki to run 13.3-13.6 with those mods.

and 13.3 down from 13.8 (stock). not bad for only $600 in mods on an n/a 4 banger. ;)

I'd love to see your ass handed to you by a stock S2000 on a road course. S2000 > SRT-4 by a mile. Hell, I'd take one over a Z28 too. Straight line performance isn't for everyone, otherwise we'd all be driving an overpriced neon.

Most are straight line, some from a dig and some from a roll. The auto x and road course racing has their own sections and are mostly meaningless when you're in the street racing section(at least it should be). If and when I ever decide to get into either of those, I'll know where to go, but until then I wouldn't suggest saying that straight line doesn't mean everything. In this section, a street race is a straight line, and that's what matters to street racers. At least until Tokyo drift comes out.

That is very true. It's all in what you like to do or bought your vehicle to do. I think where troll messed up is posting his kills in classic street racing style fashion ALONG with his other senseless babble on the srt4 and eclipse. Minus the useless dribble, and you have a new member on the board that posted a legible, legit, and well written street kill. Add the dribble and you have a guy that obviously hates a certain car and could be making up anything to make it look bad. Truly a biased opinion.

Just remember, you wouldn't get the srt4 guys talking about the s2000 unless backed into a corner, which they obviously were. Even when me and 209 used to pick at each other, he would make reference to trucks as country/mullet wearing/etc. and he owns the same brand/style truck as me. :lol:

hey you said you ran mid 13s! wtf? all I saw in those vids where 13.9 and 13.8s where are the mid 13s?

and for the record the s2000 is not all that on a course. The SRT-4 is a much better autoX car.
hell there was an event last week on Redline TV where they had the honda cup series and there where a bunch of guys bragging about how the S2000 is the best Honda car for the course cause on the FR layout and what not. the top three possitions went to an integra, a CRX and a Civic hatch. S2000 all back to 4th and 5th.

hell I rather have a Cobalt SS. cheaper, faster and the quickest standing time attack champ!

First he pissed off all the SRT-4 guys by saying a Honda Odessy smoked an srt on the highway, called it a POS and what not, then he insults the new eclipse by calling it a fat-pig. Makes fun of Nascar and says americans are morons for only turning left.....hes a jerk overall. now he is posting random vids he finds on streetfire and saying thats him!
I dont believe him for one bit, his ego is huge, way huge, like bigger then Dampachi and Civracer put together huge!

hey you said you ran mid 13s! wtf? all I saw in those vids where 13.9 and 13.8s where are the mid 13s? as I explained in my previous post, it's the most recent footage I have available. not everything I have is on my computer. that's a 13.8 on a 2.2 60' time (horrible) on a night that a stage 1 SRT4 was running 14 flat. the track was prepped horribly and it was very humid.


and for the record the s2000 is not all that on a course. The SRT-4 is a much better autoX car. dude, the only reason I can think of that you'd say that is because you TRULY have NO CLUE wtf you are talking about. take the best drivers you can find in the S2000 and in the SRT4, and the SRT4 will look like a pinto. if the "SRT4 is much better at auto-x" then explain why it can BARELY be a mediocre competitor in D-stock, while the S2000 is one of the top A-stock performers. hell, once again, dodge had to create the ACR to be more competitive in the D-stock class.

Hell, your Invidia Exhaust system costs over $650. Then you add the Carbon Kevlar hood, 17" motegi rims with Kumho Ecsta MX tires, 4IG Cold Air Intake, Red neon lit footwells :lol: :lol: , 04 S2000 Radio Door, JDM clear sidemarkers, Disabled convertible speed sensor, yellow box, Richmond 4.57 gears, Comptech Reinforced Differential and I think you have a tad over $600. Don't come over here feeding us bs. Both posts you made here you made on your own forum where the other s2000 owners fell at your feet and kissed your shoes.

The SRT4 is an incredible car in what it was designed to do. Offer extremely fast performance, incredible bang for the buck, and an inexpensive platform for tuners to build a quick racer with inexepensive addons and mods. The car did EXACTLY what dodge intended it to do. Does it have shortcomings? Sure, what car doesn't? It doesn't handle well at all, but dodge created the ACR for that purpose. It was underrated from the factory, and has a solid engine and tranny that seem to be able to handle quite a bit of additional power without much heavy modification.

What I DONT like is that there seems to be a direct relationship with the cost of a vehicle and the maturity of its drivers. Unfortunately you get too many immature and inexperienced drivers behind a car that is out of reach of their own driving skills. yes, this can happen with any car, but when the price is right, it can exacerbate the situation. unfortunately, the decent owners of SRT4's get to carry the bad name. (much like the decent owners of modded civics have to contend with the ricer morons that overwhelm the general driving community)

There. that's my honest opinion. so quit focusing on the fact that I made some jokes about the car's shortcomings, and get the hell over it. :rolleyes:


By the way heres your auto-x results from the 2005 D-stock championships. in other words, the best drivers you can find for the respective cars. Notice you have to get to 21st place before the first SRT4 shows up. and it's an ACR on top of that.

Then you add the Carbon Kevlar hood, 17" motegi rims with Kumho Ecsta MX tires, 4IG Cold Air Intake, Red neon lit footwells :lol: :lol: , 04 S2000 Radio Door, JDM clear sidemarkers, Disabled convertible speed sensor, yellow box, Richmond 4.57 gears, Comptech Reinforced Differential and I think you have a tad over $600. Don't come over here feeding us bs. Both posts you made here you made on your own forum where the other s2000 owners fell at your feet and kissed your shoes.

BTW....I also like the post where you said that the s2000 stock was at least .3 to a car length faster than the stock srt4. :rofl:intake and exhaust does nothing for the car. i happen to like the sound. you gain maybe 3whp from those mods on an S2000. but again it doesn't surprise me that you don't know that, since you seem to know very little about the S2000.

re-read the list. it's all cosmetic mods. the ONLY performance mod is the richmond gears, which cost $590. So how's your foot taste?

anyways, we dont see a lot of fast cars in wis, so when we do its kinda cool, even in the milwaukee area, we dont see a lot of expensive fast cars, you should bring your s2k down south sometimes and see the competition down there, most of these guys are down south

and why are u guys still comparing an s2k and srt-4? there's like a 10k difference, if 10k was spent on mods for an srt-4, it'll be running like 10s or something

those who said that a SRT-4 can own a S2K in a auto X has obviously never driven them both. the SRT-4 aren't exactly good handling stock. they have skinny ass tires and they're too tall and are under dampened. non of my SRT-4 friends brag about their handling. the S2K has wider wheels, just as aggressive tires, if not more, has the power going to the right end of the car, has a 50/50 weight distribution, has a stiffer chassis, and its sprung super stiff. its probrably one of the stiffest car i've ever driven or at in, the only other car that comes close is a RX-7 TT and maybe an EVO 8.

the pre 2.2 liter S2K's are alittle scary when the roads are bumpy, but it should still beat the SRT-4 in a auto X. remmeber they are put in different classes for a reason. A stock is the second highest stock class, the only class higher would be S stock which happens to include corvettes, vipers etc. the class that the S2K competes in includes NSX's, EVO's, STi's, M3's etc. all are known for crazy handling.

the SRT-4 competes in D stock. thats 3 classes down, and competes with non M bimmers. they put them there so they won't be blown out of the water by the A stock cars.

driver makes a big difference yes, but when honda troll showed you the national ranks, those are cold hard facts. you guys just refuse to even consider them because you hate him so much. and i can understand why, but this is just gettin too out of hand. some of hte stuff i see here IMO is such BS. and i may not be very popular for saying this, but i'm on his side. you guys gotta chill out. hes proven his point, he did every thing he said he did, he proved his credibility, he pulled out facts that a SRT-4 does not beat a S2K in a autox, etc etc

you know me as a very fare person on this forum, but some of you guys are really taking the little things he said to heart. just let it go.

edit: and no way this guy is as bad as dampachi. dampachi even annoys the crap out of me sometimes, but i was more on this guys side from the start. its not that i'm playing favorites or anything, but this guy atleast makes alot more sense when he talks.

I think I got off on the wrong foot, and took the assumption that people would laugh at my satire and sarcasm in my story. Heck, my eclipse story got posted on 2 different eclipse/dsm forums, and people there thought it was funny as hell. I didn't expect the response here to be so much different, after all my eclipse story was well received in the "lion's den" so to speak.

But if that's the case here, then when I get kill stories I'll keep them nice and boring with nothing but facts. no satirical opinions, and no rants or raves. but again, that'll make them just like any other boring street kill. if the eclipse guys could take some joking about their car (and in turn they took a few friendly pokes at my S2000 :lol: ), i'm unsure why some here can't do the same, but so be it.

The foot tastes about as well as your's probably does for saying you hate ricers, yet you have red neon lights in your footwells.it actually looks like just a red underdash light. the main reason I did it was because there are no footwell lights in the S2000. just the dome light. and at night it'd be nice to be able to see a bit more, so I actually got an electrical diagram, and hooked it up with a relay so the lights come on automatically when either door is opened. that way it's easier to see getting in and out of the car. i chose red, because white lights were too bright, and any other color wouldn't have looked right.

sure he may have started on the wrong foot, but thats for the soul purpose that he felt there were lots of people in here thinking the srt-4 is god of the 13 second cars...and its not.

i'm not saying anyone thinks that, but honnestly you can get that kinda vibe in here. when someone kills a srt-4 some people may tend to get defensive, when they really shouldnt.

a s2000 can kill a srt-4 a 350Z can kill a srt-4 99mustang gt can kill a srt-4. hell any low 14 second to high 13 second car can kill a srt-4 and visa versa!!

i go to the track and see srt-4 running 14.8-14.1. does that mean that all srt-4 run that time or that all drivers drive like them?? NO!
it doesnt mean squat. him not liking a srt-4 is fine but poking at people with it is wrong.

as me and redneck said, he's a level headed guy who does know his stuff, he just needed to be talked to about how this forum works and what we do and dont tolerate.

it actually tops out due to drag between 155-163mph depending upon wind conditions.

the reason he could get to the 174mph (281kph) mark was because he was going down a slight hill.
