aside from that it has a few minor probs

*A crack in the windshield, passenger side

*the AC has a slight clicky prob, but it worked fine after warming the car up

*the drivers side window is jerky when going up and down

*some minor scratches, lil bit of rust

Other than that, the car runs pretty nicely, i like the way the engine sounds, nice wooshing sound, i didnt get to really test out its speed since they dealer didnt put any gas in it, and my mom was there, but ya

i like it, nice small turning radius (compared to my lumina) and ya it just sounds really nice

i'd say that car isn't worth more than $1500. with all those problems and the mileage, its not worth it. and if its got rust then the rust is only going to spread. and i'd drive it before buying it. no gas is probably the sleaziest excuse i've ever heard. you gotta take control of this. find out all the problems (take it to a mechanic) and then tell them whats wrong with it and make an offer. they're trying to stick a sand paper covered pickle up your ass. don't let them. NO PICKLE. ESPECIALLY WITH SANDPAPER.

i would pass on it either way, too much wear and tear. but its your call, with a little body work, a new windshield and new engine, it would be a sweet ass car. (there was a slight amount of sarcasm there...)

thats a ripoff. Its auto, it has high mileage, and it has problems. It would be cheaper to find a nice shell and do an SR. Or just buy a nice S13 for 3500$

i do, and my mom replys "im not gonna give you anymore gas money when you need some." Then she gives me 10 next weekend to drive to my dads house and fill the car while im there. 89octane is only 2.13 at his house! Its like 2.27 at my moms house.

I'd pass on this one man if you want to find a car that you'll love just wait and keep looking, I got my 5spd for 2900 with no rust and the only body ding (I popped it out first thing when I got home) was where her bf's ducatti tipped over and nicked the drivers side door. Just don't buy from dealers, take it to a mechanic, and be patient.

rust is a big issue for me, cracked windshield could cost 2 to 3 hundred bucks, it was 200 on my truck... maybe more on a 240sx....

if ur gonna spend that kind of money you can find a 240sx that is much nicer, maybe even one that is kinda raggedy with a SR swap and a 5 speed already.

Yeah, we got a guy here with an SR swap and bolt ons already done for 3500$ IIRC? But it doesnt run quite right (says he thinks it has a bad MAFS, but still, good fixer project car with a little tuning)

am i the only one who thinks its not a bad buy? that car has less problems then mine does, and probrably has less problems then half of you guys cars. with the going prices of the S14's nowadays 3000 even seems like a pretty decent deal to me. i mean i got mine for 7K with 45K miles on it and that was over 3 years ago before the 240sx got really big.

pretty much bone stock, 93000 miles, great paint, no rust, no problems at all.
and its a 5speed... no reason to have it any other way

tat, the car this guy is looking at has 160,000 miles, and 3 years ago, my car would have cost me $1000 more.. if he had tried to buy this car 3 years ago, it wouldn't be so old and it probably wouldn't be in the shape it is now.. about the problems, i don't have close to as much as what this guy has.. the price is just too high for a car that won't pass inspection and that has so many kms. thats a project car. i'd buy it for $1500 if i could pick a price. its not worth anything over $2000. rust and dents and shit will take it over in another year or so.

well its a 97, and 97's are highly desirable. my friends base model 97 converted to a SE was sold for 14K and most 97's sell for around 10K bone stock with atleast 100K miles on them.

The TT wheels are bigger right? (not sure) and they fit/look real nice and makes it look more aggressive.. from what I hear.. I want a set

the rears are 2 inches wider ( 205 vs 245 ) or ( 6.5 inches vs 8.5 inches ) thats why they sit more flush, they also have a lower offset in the rear.

I thought the NA rims were 7.5 all around and the TT ones were 8.5 in back and 7.5 in front...And the tires size doesn't determine the rim size, you can fit 205s on an 8.5.

the n/a rims are 7.5, but the stock SE wheels were 6.5, which was what tat was talkin about, so its a 2 inch increase in the rear.

i love the wheels, i want to get spacers and coils, but i definitely like them more than the stockers. For winter i have the SE wheels on the front and the 7.5 inch 300zx wheels on the back, tread was better that way. by summer ill have new tires, spacers, and coils and im sure ill definitely be happy with them

well i did mention the stock width compared to the TT wheels. also yes that is true you can stretch 205's on a 8.5 inch wheel, but i was just stating the stock tire size on those wheels. sometimes 245mm vs 205mm just sounds much more impressive then 6.5 vs 8.5, you get my drift ( no pun intended........ seriously )

damn those are both deals. The kouki is hot, and affordable. but that zenki is cheap and has low miles. Nice finds, id definatly check those out.

theres an example of a kouki 4lug too, wierd the base models came like that

of course koukis are pretty rare... IIRC all the base models were 4 lug, same with the Zenkis... Thats one thing i love about mine was it was 5-lug, easy wheel upgrade, easy z32 brake upgrade, and all that good jazz

the rarest S14's are the 98 base models in 5 speed. weird huh? yeah i would definitly check out that kouki. koukis are so hot, its so hot, i did the conversion myself with the lip. too bad the front of my car is green now, so no pics until its painted.

I talked to the guy with the Le and he said he doesnt really wanna drive closer but ya, i emailed him again asking if he could lower the price to around 5500-6200 or somethin

he said theres no mechanical problems, has a muffler (i plan on dual exhaust so itll save me a lil since id only need to get one muffler) he has an alpine headunit, which id change, and hes changed the battery and ground wires (saves me the trouble of having to do that)


and ya the only probs are, he has one black rim since the other got stolen? lol

and the bumper has a lil chip in the paint and is off color, which is no big really

id rather get the 96 though, nice nice milage, and cheaper and closer :)

by dual exhaust do you mean like apex n1 dual, gp sports dual etc...or an actual dual exhaust, b/c that isnt necessary on 240's unless you have a vg swap or something...

i sold my driver side corner light with fender to a friends friend. so nope can't help you, the lip however i still have, but its pretty banged up too. i dont' think the whites would match either because my white is not a factory pearl. i painted it a brighter flat white. if you need any other front part, i might still have some left.

i also sold my carbon fiber hood to my friend who happens to have the exact same car the same color, the same rims, but he has a greddy lip, so now his car looked just like mine, and my car looked just like my friends white 97 before he sold it. lolz
