89 crx si vs. nissan 240 sx sr20det

I own a 1989 honda crx si with a b20 engine in it with quite a few mods and i think that it is quite fast. it has about 220 horsepower all motor my friend has a nissan 240 sx with a sr20det engine. he lives a few states away and is coming to visit in a few weeks. he is talking a lot of crap about how his car will smoke mine. do you think he is right? if not i have a turbo that i am getting in a few weeks that should put it above 300hp

what do you have done to the motor to achieve 220hp all motor on a b20? And is that whp or crank hp? The SR20DET motors put out about 210hp and 210 ft/lb torque. You should win regardless.

I have bored it out to a 2.4L and have about 11:1 compression ratio.i have a few other things done but those are the main mods. i also changed the camshafts and added hondata and a exedy clutch with a act flywheel. 220 to the crank. he claims that he is putting out 320hp but i don't believe him.

do you know his mods?

i don't think he has that too much done. he says that he changed the pistons did some head work upgraded the turbo and is running with 100 octane gas

i could believe hes pushing out 320hp if he upgraded the turbo and cranked up the psi a bit...it really doesnt take much for a SR20DET to get over 300hp...also what tranny do you have?

i am using the tranny out of my 1992 si. I had it rebuilt and they chanced the gears so that i have a better top end

the b20 is a 2.0L stupid i had a 1.8 in it but i got a b20 for a good price so i couldn't turn it down. as for the tranny i had a gsr motor in my 92 si.and if i put a turbo i am going to change the pistons so i don't blow up the motor.as for the bore, sorry i ment stroke i stroked it out to a 2.4L with a crower high performance stroker kit. to much stuff to remember in the last 6 months i have had 4 motors in the car

First you say it's a 1.6 bored to 1.8. Then you say it's a 2.0 bored to 2.4. Now you say it's 2.0 again, and stroked not bored. Don't call me stupid until you get your head out of your ass and figure out which lie you want to stick with.

turbo would be your only hope, in my opinion.

i checked out crower's website and the only kit they have that comes near to 2.4L is their 2.26L kit. and that's using an 87mm bore which is pushing it even with a sleeved block. your motor must be built like a tank...
