Source for weatherstripingcdru 01-23-2006, 03:18 PM My 97 Cavalier Convertible's weatherstriping has deteroriated to the point where it leaks water in like a sieve in anything more then a light mist. The piece I'm talking about basically wraps around the windshild and header, starting just above one side mirror going to the other. The piece of rubber is what the windows and top seal up against. Does anyone know of a source for them? Local dealerships want $400 for one, and online delar part stores aren't a whole lot better at $300. You can easily find cheaper aftermarket tops. Finding aftermarket weatherstripping is impossible it seems. Cavalier2000 01-24-2006, 01:45 PM junk yard if you can find a good one cdru 01-25-2006, 02:56 PM junk yard if you can find a good oneI've thought about that. The only problem is that junk yards don't typically keep around convertibles for long. One of the online junkyards may be a possibility though... Cavalier2000 01-25-2006, 03:17 PM yea i forgot about that. It's like finding headlights for a 2000-2002 in a junk yard. next to impossible lol.
