I have a 1990 Accord 5 spd, when i turn it on and its cold or warm outside it accelarates by it self in a way that the rpm's go up come down and go up again constantly even when i drive around everytime i stop it does it again, i was told it can be the idle control, i want to know where this is located and how to replace it...Thankz

not sure how relavant this is, but my 93 accord (auto) was doing the same thing (only when cold, though...but up and down about 800RPM between 1500 and 2300...really annoying) . Replaced the O2 sensor this last weekend, and it doesn't do it anymore. Got a nice ~3MPG bump in mileage from it too!

your car doesnt have one.

try looking into your map sensor ...

if forget if you can test those with a multi meter to see if they are operating correctly... but i do know new ones are about 175 dollars..

yeah you should have one and it should be located right next to you're throtle body in;et it's a flat head screw, but thats not you're proble, you;re problem is that you're FIAV(fast idle air valve) located net to the IAC(idle air controler) is busted needs replacement, hapened to me only when the car wsa cold during sumer them whenit warmed up it would be fine. Now in the winter time it would do it all the time so I replaced it with known good one problem went away.
