I just got some 429 Dove-c heads from the boneyard and was wondering if they will fit on my 89 460? I have heard that there was a block change. Would I have to get a new older block or will the fuel injection intake manifold not fit on it anyways?????Hope they fit cuz I heard these flow better than cj and scj heads when revalved and ported.

Carb heads will not work with fuel Exuast manifolds.

Actually I just checked it out with my spare intake manifold.... and they will work, I just ported out my aluminum Fuel injection intake to 2.40", and matched that on the dove-c's also and they match up great! I have a d97e-ab block which I found is a 79 block and they will match right up!!!!!! Thanks for the reply, tell all your friends trying to beef out there 460 fi......just rerquires some minor modification to be a monster!!!

Did you check the exhuast manifolds, that is what I ment.

I will just use 429 headers, do you see a problem occurring with that? I dont, plus the bolt pattern and port size is the same with dove-c's and 460's....
