And the Beat Goes OnBear 01-18-2006, 11:07 AM Grandson decided to change oil in his 2001 Elantra and ended up stripping the threads on the oil pan where drain plug goes in (too much King Kong). I am considerting using an oversize, self threading, drain plug to make things right, any other suggestions.
