Well, I took my truck to the pros and the fuel filter is indeed fused onto the fuel lines. Since I am going to be replacing fuel lines does anyone knwo of any aftermarket fuel lines/fuel tak for hte new body 99 silverado?

There is a kit at most auto stores that has the flared end/fitting on it. It's about $12. You'll need a tube cutter and a tube bender (about $15 total). I replaced the line on the aft side of the fuel filter on my 2000 Silverado, piece of cake.
