1999 Accord door lock problemNickC 01-15-2006, 01:41 PM I came home and noticed that my front passenger door lock will not be activated electrically anymore. It doesn't work with the door lock switch inside nor with the keyless entry fob. Manual unlocking and locking work fine. It was working fine when I was out - somewhere on the way home it quit. None of the other 3 doors have a problem. Is there anything simple I can do before just taking it to a professional? I searched the forums and there was a thread about resetting the multiplex system. It involved setting the wipers on intermittent medium - then turn the key ON, OFF, and back ON. But that didn't help me. lorunner 01-20-2006, 07:04 PM How about the windows do they work. Do the doors lock and unlock from the passneger switch? The wiper trick actually goes like this. Under the hood in the fuse box there is a 40 amp fuse that sticks up higer than all the rest. Its the backup fuse. Turn the car off and put the intermitant ring to the center position on the wiper switch. Remove the fuse fo 30 seccond and then reinstall it. if that fixes the problem i would start with a drivers master windo switch. your probably asking why. Well there are 3 multiples units in the car. One in each fuse box (driver and passenger) and one in the master window switch. The most likely out of the 3 is the master. hope this helps NickC 01-23-2006, 03:23 PM All 4 power windows work fine, and the remaining 3 doors' power locks work fine. Only the front passenger door does not lock or unlock with power - from either switch or the key fob. I'll try the underhood fuse trick when I get home, but it's starting to sound like a bad door lock actuator. lorunner 01-23-2006, 05:57 PM Yeah from that information you just gave id does. NickC 01-23-2006, 06:08 PM I'll try the fuse thing just in case - when you say to set the intermittent to medium, do you mean just the speed knob? Or should I also rotate the wiper control from Off to Intermittent at the same time? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
