The link noted on the front page brings up an error.

It's not really a bug, more of a visual preference. To me, the various sub-forums listings appear quite large. Having the thread title, last poster, and last post date all on seperate lines forces each subforum to have quite a bit of white space around it. I'd like to maybe reformat that somehow so that each forum doesn't take up quite as much space.

Also related, sub-forums (such as the performance, non-performance, and problem diagnosis under Chevrolet Cavalier) take up a simiar amount of space as well as the sub-forum header breaks the continuity of the page. It just looks strange. I'd like to see somethink like on this page (http://www.satelliteguys.us/index.php?) under the Dish Network forum where the sub-forums get something like a bullet point.

The last few days I have been getting an error once in a while that says "The server has timed out." At first I thought it was my ISP but then I realized all other sites worked except for AF in which I would get that error message.

It has been much better in the last ~day or so.

Not as bad as it was, but I have still gotten it a few times...

Tradional AF style is being restored and is now the default for AF. However, if you scroll down to the page, you will notice that the previously used style is also available.

Any chance of scaling down the font size on usernames - some of the longer ones are causing pages to be formatted strangely. This may be a known issue or a work in progress, but I thought I would add it here.

I haven't seen any other issues so far. Keep up the good work for us! :thumbsup:

If I click 'ok' the box disappears and I click the AF line in my Bookmark again, and the site then comes up. This is the actual address I copied and pasted from my address window that appears in the toolbar at the top of the page once I click on the bookmark for AF:http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/index.php On the bottom of the screen, when I click on the bookmark, it says "waiting for www.automotiveforums.com" I visit this site twice a day and maybe out of the last week or so it has done it 3 or 4 times, so I think the bookmark link is still good as that is the only way I access this site. I'm just thinking it's probably a quirk related to all the changes the site is undergoing, and maybe I get that message when the site slows down. I have been also getting the message that other members have been getting to "check back in 5 minutes, maintenance related, etc.while I am on the site. Maybe I'm trying to connect to the site during one of those times, hence the error message.

when opening new links it takes a long time to load the pages, longer than it did a week or so ago. Will this improve with time?

Just an observation..the Instant email Notification does not seem to work.

Something is not right with searches. First you can't search a forum by itself anymore. I want to find articles in a forum not in all forums. Second when I do try to use the search it doesn't show the article I am looking for.

Is that why the server has stopped responding nearly everytime I post or try to change forums for the last couple of weeks?

Sure is irritating. Can never tell if my reply posted or not, etc.

For anyone who knows for sure, is the server failure thing fixed or is it something we should all expect again in the near future. Just curious, not trying to be rude.

I've installed the new database server over the weekend, things seem to be screaming fast for me right now. How is the speed now?

THE PROBLEM IS THAT AT A STOP SIGN OR LIGHT THE IDLE SURGES AND THE ENGINE WILL DIE IF I DO NOT PUT IT INTO NEUTRAL WHILE WAITING FOR LIGHT TO TURN GREEN. IT WILL ALSO SURGE AT FREEWAY SPEEDS AT TIMES, OTHER TIMES IT WILL RUN PERFECT AT ALL TIME. IS THERE A QUICK FIX FOR THIS OR SHOULD I TURN TO A MECHNIC.

Not sure if this is due to the new look or not but when I type my name into the username box and tab to go to the password box, it takes me to the one at the bottom of the page (if I started at the top) and vice versa.
