Aww now that hurts! I think it looks similar to most magazines I buy/recieve, Snowboard Life (RIP), Backpacker, Land Rover Monthly, 4WheelParts Catalog. They use all types of gooy colors and fonts, misaligned, text all over. Go grab some of yours and look :D

But I have a weird sense of aesthetics, while people are fawning all over different web sites I look at them and think, "man, thats garbage." At least I know my site sucks.

Cool photo, but shame on you for having shadows that come in from different angles! Use global shadow angles. It's so much tighter, and looks like you knew what you were doing.

4-wheel parts graphic designer should be shot. Look in last months issue. They took out some fat guy (you can see the original inside the cover), and pasted in some other dude (the guy in shades above the jeep).

But the shadows don't match up at all. They're always adding some stupid thing out of context. Did you see the Iguana they pasted at the bottom of the Cherokee cover?

Oh, and while I'm on a rant, when are they going to include an Xterra? They did a review of the Exploder and even said "sure you're never going to take this offroad but...".

I know, I know...a larger market...of poseurs. :D

4 Wheel Drive and Sport utility has had a few Xterra installs as you probably already know. After reading the magazine I noticed the suprising lack of full sized rigs. They seem to be a little less biased toward the full size market. I think that they would be the most inclined magazine to do a feature on an Xterra.

My question is, has anyone sent in pictures to Readers Rigs in any of the magazines?

Wuh? The pic itself is 100% untouched, ground, sky, Xterra - everything. High altitudes and low lying clouds do funny things with shadows - sorry, its true. Only text and a bar code were added.

If it looks grainy its probably because it was taken with a 1 megapixel digital camera.

EDIT: Ahhhh, are we talking about the shadows on the "Offroad Magazine"? Yeah they are fubar. Sheesh, thats what you get for trying to have fun.
