Can A 2.3 Head Be Shaved And If So How Much

Call you local machine shop. If its off take it down they will tell you.

I just had my 1988 ford ranger 2.3 head milled down 18 thousandth and even though the used car dealer did,nt fix my problem the darn engine still runs,, poorly but it runs.:banghead:

May I ask why you want to go through the time and expense of having the head shaved? Unless it's warped or something. You know that after the head is shaved, your compression increases a bit. Can your rings and valves take it? Just curious.
