Looking for some help to hard wire my power for Sirius radio. Have unit mounted to overhead console with antenna running through headliner and out the door (soon to be routed out chmsl above rear window). Anyway, I want to eliminate the cigarette plug and wire directly. Question is-is it possible to tap into oem radio wiring to have Sirius powered when oem is powered, you know-how the power stays on for like 15 minutes after key is turned off (unless you open a door-then power goes off).

Or-does anyone else have a better idea or experience with wiring one of these for power?

Thanks for your help.

It is very possible to do that. You'll need to take the radio out and splice into a switched 12+ volt. wire.
