Wiring Socket under drivers seat.neon_rt 01-10-2006, 02:39 PM I have a '00 Dodge CG. On my other '00 GC there where no wires under the drivers seat (Van is now totalled). On this replacement van I noticed that there is a socket. Does anyone know what it is for and have a diagram of the socket. My two guesses are provision for CD player or Power Seats, neither of which it has. gromittoo 01-14-2006, 11:15 AM I have a '00 Dodge CG. This is where you plug in a scan tool to read the "Scan Codes". I beleive that ODB stands for Onboard Diagnostics someting. All cars manufactured since 96 have this connector. Google ODB-II, and see if the picture matches the socket you found. Otherwise you may be right about a plug for some option. Depending on the price class (Economy, Lo-Line, Hi-line Luxury.etc) there could be a differant harness with differant options. Google "VIN Number decoders" and you could learn a lot about the two vans. MT-2500 01-14-2006, 12:10 PM Some have a Memory seat/mirrow module under drivers seat. If nothing is pluged into it no problem. It is just there for the ones that have something to plug into it. MT Phoenix1 01-15-2006, 01:17 AM Power Seat would be my first guess. Data port connector is under the dash by parking brake. neon_rt 01-16-2006, 11:29 AM I was thinking is was for the power seat option. I think that it is weird that my other 'CG didn't have the plug there, both are SE models. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
