Amber bulbs for DRLchuckwi11 01-09-2006, 03:23 PM I just upgraded my headlights and fog lights to SilverStars and would like to change my DRLs to amber. A quick check of the OSRAM site gives me a number (4114LL) that doesn't cross to anything including a white bulb. Is there anyone that has changed out the DRLs and did you do a bulb replacement (#?) or did you have to replace the socket too? TIA kenny-1907 01-09-2006, 05:01 PM I guess they have changed the bulbs since 2000 cause mine are 3157 or 3157LL's and they come in clear or amber. The LL stands for long life just in case you did not know. Maybe do like i did, remove the bulb, it is easy enough, and take it into the store with you to find the replacement. Rollingbones 01-10-2006, 01:43 PM Sylvania has 3157's in amber (I have them as my front side lights). 3157's also work as DRL's. Rollingbones 01-10-2006, 01:44 PM Make that Sylvania Silverstars in 3157!!! (Yeah they do!!!) kenwood guy 01-10-2006, 03:09 PM im looking to change mine to amber drl's what was the number again????? I have an 01 silverado kenny-1907 01-10-2006, 03:15 PM I really can not see wasting money on anything other tha a basic clear or amber replacement bulb for the DRL's, i mean it is the day time that they are on why pay for a brighter bulb that really won't be that much more noticeable anyhow. Just my 0.02¢ jeverett 01-10-2006, 05:48 PM 3157 Na horse482 01-11-2006, 01:35 PM My computer says to use a 4157K or 4175KNA for a amber. According to my computer the 4157K is the direct interchange for the 4114LL. kenwood guy 01-11-2006, 03:11 PM ???? which do I need?? 4157K or 4175KNA or 3157 Na 01 silverado I have whites now BlenderWizard 01-11-2006, 03:54 PM ???? which do I need?? 4157K or 4175KNA or 3157 Na 01 silverado I have whites now Man, take the bulb out and go match it kenwood guy 01-11-2006, 05:22 PM Man, take the bulb out and go match it o yea!! that was a no brainer :icon16: horse482 01-11-2006, 07:58 PM ???? which do I need?? 4157K or 4175KNA or 3157 Na 01 silverado I have whites now 4157K is a white, 4157KNA is amber. NA at the end of a bulb number = Amber. kenny-1907 01-12-2006, 10:49 AM Just taking a guess at it but i think the 4157 might be the same bulb as the 3157 only brighter. When i bought 3157's for replacements they had 3357's as well , they were identical and when i asked if they were infact the same but just a brighter bulb they said yes, so to me , that would make a 4157 that much brighter.............maybe  vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
