Lately I have noticed several posts regarding oil filters. This article should clear the air (and perhaps the oil) about what constitutes a good one. Check this out and see if it changes your preference.

Yep it did change my preference. I've been using Fram filters for years. I can see now I'm going to have to spend some time reading through the article to find a new brand. And soon too, my ole jeep is about to roll over on 160k miles and happens to be ready for its 3k oil change. Thanks for the post.

I have been a tech for over 30 years and have always used and recommended Fram filters, up until I found this article a few years ago. Purolator Pure One is the answer now!

I found a similar article on engine oil that I have been contemplating posting here. That one is a real nightmare to understand though.
