1993 olds98touring-whining noise near trans

car runs great-shifts fine but makes a whining sound when shifted out of drive to neutral or park (about six months now)-has 195,000 miles doesnt burn a drop of oil. 308 supercharged-love my car but want to fix it before major damage. Any ideas? :) km
