View Full Version : What do people think about the saxo's? What do people think about the saxo's? Lora69 01-07-2006, 09:03 AM Lora drunken monkey 01-07-2006, 03:34 PM short reply. polo, can't really justify paying a premium for the brand for what is essentially a small shopping car and i was really put off by the snobbery in the showroom. saxo. prefer the 106 myself, it being my first car until it died a not so slow and painful death. saxo has a bit of a bad rep down to it's popularity with the maxpower crowd butis essentially the same car. unless you're going for the vtr/vts models there's not much special with them. You can get a pretty decent fiat punto for about the same price. Or a toyota yaris.... (don't go for the 1.0litre one if you do...). what kinda car are you after? what kind of use will it get? Jimster 01-15-2006, 05:03 AM I have to say, that you're best off with something Japanese, a Fiesta or a Clio. The Japanese small cars and the Fiesta are proven and reliable, while the Fiesta and Clio are really fun little cars to throw around. Don't get a Punto they're not particuarly reliable or fun, the Polo has some pretty shocking quality issues you wouldn't expect on a VW and the Saxo is far too tinny, uncomfortable and unreliable.
