no crank

97 jgc limited auto
turn key there is nothing happen on the engine front
engine does not crank
all lights work interior and exterior
alarms ok i think,tried unlock doors with key to reset
only error code i get is 12,which i dis the battery the other day
starters ok checked that
checked all fuses
jeep was ok before this happened
any ideas please

Have you checked the wires at the starter. It sounds like one of the wires is loose.

Are you sure the jeep is in park? If so, try to start it in Neutral.

Make sure the start relay is also good.

got the jeep going by crossing the two bolts on starter
took it for a run hoping it might reset jeep
stopped jeep tried to start not a thing
ive heard there is two starter releys does anybody know is this right,if so where are they

I am new here, but these are the same exact issues that caused me to join. I have the same vehicle with the same issues. After way too much time (and a CPS replacement), it came down to a loose negative battery connection. Check the wires going into your terminal connection, not just the battery post connection.
