Is this common?? If I apply pressure up or down it goes away. Maybe something is worn or loose?? Doesn't really bother me but my wife would like it fixed.

What are you applying pressure on? What year is your vehicle? Is it doing this while the car is in park?

It will vibrate in park or drive. If I put it in neutral it's not quite as bad. I think this is because of a slight change in rpm's.

Still looking for help with this. If I keep the rpm's up around 1000 the vibration goes away. When it drops to idle (especially when it's in drive) it vibrates bad. Thanks for any help.

It has been awhile but I finally got around to investigating this problem. I removed the plastic steering column cover and found one bolt loose that holds the column and the other was missing. Tightened the bolt and found a replacement for the other and all is well.
