okay here is what really gets me stumped. most cars today uses MAF sensors. well a car is not suppose to run without that sensor. but my car and most cars for the part has the sensor in the resonator box. if you take it off to put in a aftermarket intake why doens't the engine check light go off? and are there ways that i can get my MAF in my intake still? i've heard that if you keep your sensor you in there, you will get alot more gains. but i'm not sure if this is true. can someone please enlighten me?

Your aftermarket intake should have a place for the MAS to go through. After installation, reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery or shorting the service port. The CEL should go off.
